What type of challenges will I encounter?
Up to eight industry leaders set the challenges, which are based on genuine issues these companies face. They provide real data that enables hackathon participants to solve actual problems within 24 hours. For example, at the 2024 Hackathon, challenges included Energy Procurement Optimization by 1Komma5Grad & Google, Otto Dörner’s Explainable Demand Forecasting, and Zero Food Waste Optimization in Aviation by Lufthansa Industry Solutions & ZeroG.
Who can take part?
Everyone with an interest in technology and innovation is welcome! Whether you’re a student, a budding professional, an experienced developer, or a data scientist—if you’re passionate about AI and thrive in a team environment, you’re in the right place.
Is it possible to connect deeper with the partner companies?
Yes, we’ve set aside dedicated time slots for you to engage with the companies and get to know their work and teams up close. You’ll gain firsthand insights into our partners’ professional environments. Plus, each company provides mentors to support your team as you tackle the challenges.
How will the teams be determined?
Teams can consist of 3 to 5 members. You can register with an existing team, or we’ll help you find one on site.
Is there a participation fee?
No, participating in the hackathon is completely free. We want to offer everyone the chance to turn their ideas into reality and join our community.
What should I bring to the event day?
Bring your laptop, charger, and any other accessories you might need for development. We’ve got food and drinks covered.
Is it possible to sleep at the event location?
Yes, you can even sleep in the Factory during the hackathon. There are separate sleeping areas for men and women.
Is there a price?
Yes, winning teams for each challenge will receive prizes. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to present your projects to industry leaders, and every team will receive tickets for the ChefTreff Summit 2025.
